ERM is hiring an experienced Class II Underground Injection Control (UIC) Permitting Specialist to provide technical expertise in the Injection/Storage Permits Unit in the Oil and Gas industry supporting our client in The Woodlands, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing permit applications for injection wells, evaluating well completion, and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 12 months, renewable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing permit applications for injection wells, evaluating well completion, and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Review and evaluate permit applications for injection wells to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify well completion and ensure safety.
- Collect and analyze data related to injection well activities, including well logs and geophysical data.
- Prepare and review technical reports and recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective permitting and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a B.S. in Engineering, Geoscience, or a closely related field. Experience and education may be substituted on a year for year basis.
- 3+ years of experience permitting for Class II UIC wells.
- Knowledge of engineering and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to apply engineering concepts, to conduct inspections, to perform maintenance activities, to review design work, to review construction work, to organize and analyze data, to communicate effectively, and to train others.
- Valid Texas Driver's license and a good driving record.
